AU BONHEUR DES OGRES

In the Malaussène family, there are lots of kids, lots of love and lots of stories (not to mention a protective older brother). Benjamin is often the scapegoat in professional situations within a luxury Parisian department store where he works, the Bonheur Parisian. He finds himself thrown into a strange murder mystery. Meanwhile, at the Bonheur Parisian, the employees are losing it. Suspected of being the author of the crimes, Benjamin meets Tante Julia, a mischievous journalist with a sharp eye. Together, they’ll get to the bottom of the story, in the midst of merry chaos. As the plot unfolds, one comes across magic, absurdity and off-the-wall humor.

CLINIC

Welcome to the Clinic, a hospital that’s off its rocker. When a team of lame-duck physicians decides to heal patients without speaking, they prove that laughter truly is the best medicine. You laugh, you cry, you relax. Clinic explores blues, funny scenes and the aesthetic appeal of a pretty nurse. The theatre of Eric Métayer is excellently adapted to the big screen: challenge met.

LES ENFANTS DE TIMPELBACH

When a state of emergency is declared in the town of Timpelbach, the children take charge. Whereas their parents, who had abandoned them in an attempt to discipline them, get lost in the countryside, the children form two clans. The game of survival begins, and it’s time to settle accounts. Thinking themselves cut off from the rest of the world, the kids throw themselves into a war, and adult lives are placed in the hands of children. The atmosphere of Timpelbach, with its retro décor and gadgets, immerses the viewer in an extraordinary world of fantasy. The cast features Adèle Exarchopoulos, seen here at the beginning of her film career.

JUDAS

Bandeau Judas

A glimpse into the past. An evening of whimsy—costumes, laughter, frivolity, amusement. A couple reconnects and proclaims their love for one another. They long to flee, together, from a despotic regime. But during this time period, deserters are treated as traitors and their legs are cut off. What are the lovers to do? They risk it. And there’s nothing left but memories—whole—and half of a body, very much still alive. In their museum-apartment, one hears the laughter of characters preserved forever in the Belle Epoque. Love is nostalgic, forsaken, despondent. She is gone and he is left, alone, keeping vigil over his secret world in order keep her alive in the eternity of his memory. An eccentric short film—picturesque, dark and tragic. The impassioned emotions and dramatic décor plunge the viewer into a unique world of fantasy.

BEFORE

In Timpelbach, everything is falling apart. The kids have turned into true delinquents. They take over their classroom in a comedic coup d’état. Their highly eccentric schoolteacher goes into a panic and wants to punish them. What happens next will prove to be irreversible and their parents will have to take action. Before is the prologue to Les Enfants de Timpelbach and re-adapts the world of Henry Winterfeld. It uses shades of brown, retro décor and gadgets, and everyone has fun.

FRAGILE

Bandeau Fragile 1

Everything had been going so well for Raphael. A job interview, a winning scratch-off lottery ticket and a gorgeous woman. But he stumbles into the path of violence, and from that moment his happiness rips at the seams. He picks himself up from the knockout and leaves in a bad way. His job interview is a tyrannical satire. He leaves, shaken, and falls into a vicious downward spiral, his day marked by madness and folly. His meetings with other people are bizarre. In the course of one day, he will lose everything: his job, his girlfriend, his life. End of the lottery. Fragile is a short film with a dark, crazy, anxiety-inducing atmosphere. Shades of brown are revisited and evoke the style of Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
